Whose The RefArticle added on 11/09/2012

The society has subscribed to the appointments website known as Whos-The-Ref.com. This tool allows referee societies to carry all aspects of appointing and administration within one central online resource. What does this mean to you as a referee? You will access the website at http://www.whostheref.com using your email address as the user id, and a password which you must set before you can log in. (As an active kent referee you have been entered into the system and need only to set a password) You will be expected to maintain an up-to-date calendar of your availability. This simple task alone will be of massive assistance to your appointing team. In future, all appointments will be notified to you via email, or in some cases by text. You must accept or decline each appointment by either clicking a link within the email, or, replying appropriately to the text. The website will then generate emails to the teams to notifying them you have accepted the game, or, to the appointments officer, you declined the game. The Clubs are still expected to contact you by telephone as normal. Any problems get in touch with David Clent at: appointments@kentrefs.co.uk or Tracy at: admin@kentrefs.co.uk The website is UK based, is secure to Thawte 256-bit SSL standards, and complies with the Data Protection Act.

All appointments have a direct link to our website and can be found on the appointments page. Club Fixture Secreatries can therefore check if they have been allocated a referee, please do not assume you have one, please contact David Clent appointments@kentrefs.co.uk with any late requests.
